Haystack Mountain Goat Dairy began in 1989 when our founder Jim Schott left teaching and began raising
goats on his farm in Niwot, Colorado. Today Haystack Mountain is recognized as a producer of premium goat
milk cheeses. We produce three raw milk cheeses and a variety of fresh cheeses--from plain and flavored
Chevre logs to soft-ripened bloomy rind cheeses.
Our cheeses have won many awards from the American Cheese Society and the World Cheese Awards.
